는 많은 사용자를 확보하고 있고, 안정적인 동기화 기능을 제공하고 있지만, 현재 최신 버전은 0.7.106으로 아직도 버전 번호가 0점대이다. 이런 중에 또 내부 테스트용 버전으로 0.8을 내놓았는데 2010년 2월 19일자로 0.8.3버전까지 나와 있다. 0.8.1버전이 2월 18일에 나왔으니 신속하게 개선되고 있는 셈이다.

이 버전에서 바뀐 점은 아래와 같다.
- fixed bug that would cause Dropbox to spin out conflicts incorrectly
- fix to bug where Dropbox wouldn't start on some Macs
- slimmed mac build by a tiny bit
- decreased idle memory usage on Macs for users with lots of shared folders
- fix to bug where Dropbox wouldn't start because of non-ascii characters in the user's name
- fix to bug where Dropbox would hang and burn CPU in a rare case
- lots of other tiny fixes
아직 실험 중인 버전이므로 신중하게 적용하도록 한다.
